Warehouse Hallway Floor applied with Self-Leveling Epoxy
This Warehouse Hallway Floor already had multiple layers of coating. The layers were brittle and can be easily removed with your fingers.
We prepared the surface using a Planetary Floor Grinder with scraping attachments to remove the existing coating. Then another pass of the Planetary Floor Grinder with a diamond grinding attachment to open the concrete pores to ensure maximum bond strength of the primer. All this grinding was done with our Industrial Vacuum to prevent dust contamination of the stocks. We then used Carmacoat Concrete Cleaner to some parts to remove the deep seeded oil and dirt.
Primer and Repair
We applied Carmacoat Epoxy Primer to the entire area, after curing we then used Carmacoat Epoxy Putty to fill in the craters and cracks to ensure a smooth finish free from cracks and divots.
We then applied a 2mm thick Carmacoat Self-Leveling Topcoat that can easily handle the heavy traffic day in day out. The coating can handle up to 10,000 psi compressive strength more than enough for the area.
Safety Lane Markings
After curing for 24 hours we then applied our 2″ Safety Lane Markings(Yellow) to the clients specification. This ensures that the forklift operator has a guide and can easily insert the pallets in their proper place.
This was a successful project that required only 6 days for 2,000 sqm with one day curing for foot traffic and 3 days curing for forklift traffic. Full cure was 7 days for the full Chemical Resistance.
